We’ve been getting questions about we’re currently operating, in times of COVID-19. We’ve answered the most common ones below.
Is Cowork Frederick open?
Yes. 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday. Our front door is locked. Coworking members have access fobs to enter the building. Anyone wanting to come in for a Day Pass or for a tour must schedule them ahead of time.
What measures are currently in place for COVID-19?
We are cleaning surfaces daily. We have placed hand sanitizer by the front door and ask that everyone use it as they enter the building. There are sanitizing wipes placed throughout the building. Everyone is asked to wipe down any shared work area they use (including phone booths and printers) when they are done using it. People working in shared spaces must sit 6 feet apart (exception: family or team members who are in regular contact with each other can sit together). We have hands-free soap dispensers in our restrooms. And, we’ve added a HEPA air purifier to our conference room and community room, where higher concentrations of people may gather.
How many people are usually in the building?
We been averaging about 10 people in the building (not counting those in for meetings, which are held in separate rooms with doors closed).
Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes. Members coming in to do their regular work at a desk may remove their mask while at their desk, but should put it back before walking around the building, Any non-member coming in for a tour, day pass, or meeting must wear a mask. We have extra masks if you need one.
Can I hold meetings?
Yes (and the 10-person limit has been lifted). People attending the meeting (including any Cowork Frederick members) should wear a mask and sanitize hands upon entering the building and should head straight to the meeting room. While in the meeting room the mask can be removed, but it must be put back on anytime you leave the meeting room. People here to attend a meeting should stay in the meeting room except when entering or exiting the building or using the restroom. There is a restroom right next to the conference room.
Can I get my mail?
Yes. We have remained open to accept mail for those you have signed up for our mail service. If you are a coworking member or are using our mail & meetings virtual office service, you have an access fob for the door and can come get your mail just like before.
I’m a member. Can I bring a guest?
Yes. Members can bring guests in to cowork with them using our usual guest pass procedure. Until further notice, all guests should wear a mask for the entire duration of their time here. As with meeting attendees, this is for their protection as well as ours. Guests have a different level of risk than those who we see regularly and know how to reach. Like everyone, guests must also sit at least 6 feet away from others.
Can I take a tour?
Yes. We are giving tours. Please schedule your tour here and make note of the following: You must wear a mask while inside our building. You will also be asked to sanitize your hands when you come in the door.
I’m thinking about joining. Can I do a test drive?
Yes. Please schedule a Day Pass or come to one of our free Open Coworking events. Sign up for either one here.
Will I be notified if someone at Cowork Frederick tests positive for COVID-19?
Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 and who has been in the building in the 14 days prior to that should notify us immediately. We will, in turn, notify all Cowork Frederick members. We will also notify anyone who has reserved a meeting room in the prior 14 days. We do not have records of those who attend meetings, so it will be up to the person who reserved the room to notify their attendees.
