It’s amazing how time slips by. The good news is we closed on the building in late February. The bad news is we have a lot of work to do before we can open. As I said earlier, we have to replace the plumbing and get a new furnace, although hopefully we won’t need heat for quite some time. One of the biggest upgrades is to bring the electrical wiring into the 21st century. At the very least, it would be nice to have wiring that’s grounded. That’s right, some of the existing wiring is everyone’s favorite – knob and tube. However, we plan on getting things to the point that the first floor is ready and then opening our doors. The second floor can come a little later, but not too much later since that’s where our conference rooms will be located. Photos will be coming as soon as I can select a small subset from the many we’ve taken. For now, here’s a picture from last summer. Can anyone guess where this is in downtown Frederick? Any suggestions what prize I should give to the winner? Post your guess in the comments and I’ll give a prize to the first one to get it right..
