Cowork Frederick is launching virtual events aimed at making teleworking a little less lonely, at helping you be a little more productive, a little more resilient, a little stronger, a little better. With a trademark like “Because together is better”, how could we not?
With ever-increasing restrictions aimed at flattening the COVID-19 curve, people are finding creative ways to stay connected, even as they self-quarantine. In addition to teleconference and video conference meetings, virtual dinner parties and movie and game nights are popping up around the world. We couldn’t help but see a chance to do our part. All our virtual events are free and open to anyone who wants to join. Hope to see you there!
Morning Water Cooler – Weekdays 9 am
Some of us can get a little lazy about our morning routine when teleworking. Don’t worry. We’ve got you. Get up, get dressed (you will be on video, after all), grab a cup of whatever gets you going in the morning, then drop in any time between 9::00 and 9:30 am to say “Hi”. Share your goals or a story, get some words of encouragement and start your day off right.
Work Sprints – Weekdays 10 am
Finding it hard to stay focused while working at home? Work sprints to the rescue! We’ll go around the “room”, say hi and share what we’re going to work on. Then we’ll set a timer for 40 minutes and get to work – together. When we’re done we’ll celebrate our productivity with a some virtual high-fives.
Virtual Coffee Break – Weekdays 3 pm
Missing the trip to the break room to beat the afternoon slump? We’ve got you covered. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and join us around a virtual table weekdays at 3 pm.
15 Minutes of Calm – Weekdays 3:30 pm
For many of us the pandemic has meant a shift to working from home, feelings of isolation, and increased stress. Join meditation instructor, Ray Manyoky, for a 15-minute guided meditation to help you de-stress and find moments of calm in your day.
