Nov 7 Frederick Artists Night

This year has been hard on local artists, so we’re giving local artists a boost by expanding our regular Frederick Artists Night event to include multiple artists all under one roof.

All art is for sale.  Come support Frederick’s local artists.  Nov 7. 4pm to 8pm.
Limit 10 people in the building at time. Masks required.

Sarah Rachael Photography

Our November featured artist is local photographer Sarah Rachael.  Her “Inspiration Thru My Lens” exhibit focuses on the everyday beauty around us, paired with powerful words of inspiration. From Sarah, “because we can all use a little extra inspiration and hope these days”.

Additional Artists

Eric Bloom – Eric’s background is in computer science and technology, which is actually a very creative process. Now partly retired, Eric applies his creative energy to creating glass art.

Glass is a special material. It can be transparent, translucent, or opaque. It can be made in any color. When light encounters glass, some is always reflected – even with transparent glass. And light is refracted, or bent, when it passes through glass. The combination of these light transforming properties, along with color, creates an infinite spectrum of delightful viewing. Eric joins different pieces of glass together (glass fusion) to create unique decorative and functional pieces. More at GlassFlare.com.

Molly Supplee – Molly embraces the beauty of texture and imperfection, as she creates her abstract art using earthy elements, overlapping layers, mark-making, and collage. She approaches her art intuitively, throwing down a few marks or collaging a piece of paper. Letting go of all the over-thinking, the art guides her. Her goal is to spark curiosity within the viewer, encouraging them to use their creative mind to depict what they see. From afar her paintings can appear minimal, but once more time is spent with them, many layers and details reveal themselves – kind of like life.

Julia Ferguson – More combiner of things than “true artist”, this seasons expression of creativity comes in the form of framed holiday images perfect as gifts for yourself or others.

Frederick Writer’s Salon is offering In the Shadow of the Spires – a collection of eleven noir short stories set in Frederick written by local Frederick authors.

Todd Walker – This well-known local singer-songwriter will perform from 4-6 pm.
