Art exhibit and reception: “Black and White Photography in the Historic District”
Photographer Bill Adkins has been taking a picture in Frederick’s Historic District every day for over eight years. Each picture is published on his daily blog. In this exhibit, photographs from that series are presented in classic back and white. All were taken over the last several years but many look as if they could have been made 100 years ago. Stripped of color, design and form move to the forefront in each of the photos in this collection. And, as you will see, the Historic District has never looked better.
Live music (4-6 pm): Aidan Ryan
Aidan Ryan is a software engineer and a musician (a combination we see frequently). He’s also a member of Cowork Frederick. He describes his music as “Eclectic and atmospheric looping acoustic guitar. Originals and covers from Bob Dylan to Yo La Tengo.”
