What We’ve Been Up To
Derrick Miller gave a great talk about launching his business, Axis 80 Interactive over twelve years ago and the lessons he’s learned along the way, drawing in a crowd of fellow website developers and entrepreneurs.
We celebrated the seven (count them, 7!) new members who joined in since mid-May at a New Members Welcome that included breakfast and an orientation to working at Cowork Frederick.
Brett Hess of Business Management Systems provided tips on business planning and accounting at our First Friday Lunch and Learn.
Bill Moser’s art exhibit and reception for June’s First Saturday was a hit, bringing in a steady crowd of people. We love when promoting local creativity extends beyond the events we host, so we were so glad to hear that proceeds from the sale of his work go to the Virginia P Moser Art Scholarship at BCC HS in Bethesda MD — and that he sold two pieces as a result of folks seeing them in our space!
There’s more, but we’ll spare you the details here. For regular updates on what’s going on, follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
