When the pandemic hit, we saw an opportunity to leverage our existing online communication platform (Slack) to help us, the members of Cowork Frederick, cope with what was coming.
We created a channel called #coping-with-corona and invited people to share anything related to how they are doing just that. For a while, it was our most popular channel and I have to say it was great to see how members of our community came together.
In addition to news of financial assistance, updates regarding government mandates, members shared what’s happening in their world, vented a little and (mostly) shared fun things to lighten the mood during tough times. I’ve shared a sampling of how we coped with corona below. To my surprise, no one jumped on the title to post pictures of actually coping with a Corona beer (and I had set that up so nicely!)
